This unit was designed to full fill the reqirements of testing aircraft systems.
- It allows a quick test of all to an ARINC429 Bus connected units, either transmitting or receiving. Questions like which bit changed, when a certain mode in the aircraft is reached , or how are some data scaled are easily answered. But also the simulation of ARINC429 data, for example altitude or speed to test certain indicating instruments can be done in a hurry.
- By use of the additional analogue output of up to 8 bus data in any programmable scaling, connection of analogue indicators or script chart recorders for continues monitoring can be done.
- All selected parameter are stored in a non volatile memory and are active right after switch on.
- Due to the power consumption of only 1,5 W and the wide input supply range of 7 - 36 V it can be used also with a battery supply.
- will be displayed in hexadecimal.
Basic Modes:
Transmit:
- 16 per switch defined ARINC429 words are transmitted in a loop.
- To each of this words per cycle changeable data can be assigned.
- Also only one repeating ARINC429 word can be transmitted..
Receive:
Scans the bus signal which Labels are coming and how often the appear.
Data of up to 16 preselected Labels
Enhanced Mode:
Using an easy to understand configuration program on a normal PC 8 different switch positions can be assigned to any Label and scaling. The selected parameter are downloaded via a serial RS232 connection into the Bus Tester. The corresponding data will then be displayed in decimal engineering units.
Additional these 8 data are continuously converted with a selectable scaling by a 8 channel Digital to Analogue Converter.
